Are there any installation limitations?

Gyptone® products must not be installed in:

  • Rooms with humidity above 70%
  • Temperatures above 40°C
    Perforated boards are generally not suitable for clean rooms, verify with local regulations.

Can Gyptone® products be reused?

Yes.

  • Demountable tiles can be reused if handled carefully.
  • All Gyptone® products are made from clean, recyclable materials.

Are Gyptone® products good for indoor climate?

Yes. Gyptone® excels in indoor climate performance:

  • Excellent acoustic comfort
  • High light reflectance
  • Emission certifications such as A+, M1, and Danish Indoor Climate Label
  • Integrated Activ’Air® technology that reduces formaldehyde and VOCs in indoor air

Can Gyptone® products be cleaned?

Yes. All Gyptone® products, including factory‑painted ones, can be cleaned using water, mild detergent and a soft cloth.
To avoid visible marks, always wear clean gloves when handling painted tiles.
 

Does Gyptone® offer A class acoustic absorbers?

No. Most Gyptone® products are Class B or C absorbers, but they generally meet the acoustic requirements of many local building regulations.

Where can I obtain LEED or BREEAM scorecards for Gyptone® products?

These documents are currently unavailable due to a factory relocation in 2026.
New environmental values must first be recalculated before the scorecards are available.

Where can I find pictures of Gyptone® installations?

Selected customer cases are shown on the Gyptone® website: Our Customers.
Your local Gyptone dealer can provide many more images and project references upon request.

Can I mount objects on Gyptone® products?

Yes, with load limits:

  • Edge A, Edge E and BIG boards: up to 3 kg/m²
  • Edge D2 tiles: up to 1 kg/m²

Can Gyptone® products be repainted?

Yes, Gyptone® products can be repainted in any colour.

  • Gyptone® BIG™ and BIG™ Curve are delivered unpainted and must be painted on site.
  • Never spray‑paint perforated tiles, as paint may clog the acoustic tissue and reduce performance.

Always use a short‑hair roller for perforated products.
