Recycled Content
Gypsum is a non‑renewable resource, and alternatives like desulphurized gypsum are becoming less available as we transition to renewables, while demand could quadruple by 2050. Increasing recycled gypsum is therefore key to preserving mines, extending their lifespan, and securing long‑term supply. Choosing products with high recycled content reduces environmental impact, supports circular economy goals, and helps meet stricter sustainability requirements from regulators, investors, and certification schemes (LEED, BREEAM, HQE).
Recyclability & recycling services
The recyclability of gypsum is a crucial issue in a sector where construction and demolition waste represents a significant environmental burden. The recovery of used plasterboards or off-cuts reduces pressure on natural gypsum quarries and promotes more circular construction.
Waste management is a major challenge for our customers. Our local recycling service enables them to recover value from their used plasterboards, reduce landfill waste, and demonstrate strong environmental performance in their projects, giving them an advantage in markets focused on sustainable development.
