Renovation of 75-year-old building

The contractor faced a huge task when it was appointed to renovate the almost 75-year-old main building at Kirkebjerg Skole, a school in Vanløse near Copenhagen, Denmark.

Large areas of existing acoustic ceiling in hallways, corridors and classrooms needed to be replaced with new acoustic ceilings that could preserve the architectural values of the building, while creating a comfortable sound environment.

To ensure the work went smoothly and quickly, the new Gyptone Edge D2 system was specified for the job, and the hidden T24 grid system, Cross-Lock Unipro, made it easier than ever to mount acoustic tiles.

In fact, mounting time was reduced by 20%, which means that installation time and costs were significantly lowered.
