A system for hinged corridor ceilings
Gyptone Trap is an aesthetic and flexible acoustic ceiling system for corridors, where frequent inspection of installations behind the ceiling is required. It is primarily used in hospitals, but is also suitable for other environments, such as office buildings, technical rooms, laboratories and more.
The boards are hinged with a master hanger, so you can quickly and easily open large areas of the ceiling and access installations that need maintenance or replacement.
All measuring 600mm x 1200mm, Trap boards are mounted in a strong and durable metal frame that protects the perforated plasterboard. The product range includes four standard patterns – all of which improve the acoustic properties of the indoor environment – and one non-perforated board (Base).
Plank is pre-painted, but the boards can be repainted in any colour on site with a short-haired roll. They are also very easy to clean: simply wipe down with a damp cloth using a mild cleaning agent.
Good acoustic comfort
All Gyptone ceilings include Activ'Air technology designed to decompose formaldehyde emissions from building materials, paint, furniture, carpets, cleaning agents and more – improving indoor air quality.
There are no chemical emissions from the Traps or any other Gyptone products. They are 100% recyclable and have long life spans. In addition, the Gyptone products have been awarded very strong third party EPDs (environmental product declarations), and they are placed in the highest fire rating class according to CE-Marking.
