Private Residence Halden

Architects: Jostein Mjølnerød
Contractors: Aleksander Moen AS

Passive house with low energy consumption

This private residence in Halden, Norway, has been constructed as a passive house having an extremely low energy consumption. However, it is a completely build, and as with many modern houses, this means many cold and hard surfaces which, among other problems, has acoustic issues.

For that reason, the owner (and architect), Jostein Mølnerød, chose to mount Gyptone acoustic tiles in the ceilings. An other reason for this solution was the aesthetic qualities, the elegant perforations, of the Gyptone Tiles.

Gyptone BIG Quattro 41

Gyptone BIG Quattro 41 is a perforated plasterboard with square perforation that, together with acoustic backing tissue, provides good acoustic properties. The boards are made with tapered edges on all sides.
