Big choices with Gyptone BIG
This project consisted of a new R&D building consisting of a two-storey structure with open-plan offices, laboratories, managerial offices, meeting rooms and staff canteen.
Limerick is home to ADI’s European based semi conductor wafer manufacturing facility, as well as research and development for Analog technologies. The new European Research and Development Centre is to accommodate up to 600 design engineers.
The building is centred around a ‘street’ with high levels of glazing, and acoustic absorption and low reverberation was achieved by use of Gyptone Quattro 46.
Contribution towards achieving LEED platinum status
On the 14th August 2015 Analog Devices European Research and Development Centre became the first office building in Ireland to achieve the LEED Platinum certification, the highest level of accreditation possible under the US Green Building Councils’ Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design.
It is only the second building in Ireland to achieve this status and is the first Office building in Ireland to achieve this status.
