Concealed timber base, suspended – not demountable
Direct fixing to timber or steel battens
Gyptone BIG boards with edge type B1 tapered edges on all four sides are
screwed onto timber battens. Timber battens must be used directly under the
existing construction.
Loading
The boards normally withstand moderate point loading (<3 kg). For higher loads,
or if there is a risk of heat transfer to the connections, fixing should be done to sections behind or via a transom to a primary section. Alternatively, the load should be suspended separately.
