Edge D1
Concealed grid, suspended – not demountable
Gyptone tiles with D1 type edges have fixing sections adhered on the back and
they are fixed to concealed grids of galvanised steel sections.
To ensure stability of the ceiling spacer sections and wall springs must be positioned along the wall angle as shown below. The grid should be fixed to adjacent walls. The tiles are pre-painted and demountable.
Loading
Grids should not be point-loaded with more than 0.5 kg between the points of
suspension. Distributed loads may be max. 2 kg/m per section. Built-in light fittings that are placed between grid sections are suspended separately. Contact BPB regarding the choice of light fittings.
Tiles
Maximum point loading for D1 type edged tiles is 1 kg/tile.
