Suspended fixing on steel base Primary/secondary system

Gyptone tiles with edge type B bevelled edges are screwed to steel sections.
Fixing to steel sections can be done either directly or via hangers. The tiles are
filled and painted after fixing and are not demountable.

Loading

The tiles normally withstand moderate point loading (<3 kg). For higher loads,
or if there is a risk of heat transfer to the connections, fixing should be done to
sections behind or via a transom to a primary section. Alternatively, the load should
be suspended separately.
